Selena Gomez is having quite the busy summer. Between promoting the new season of her Hulu series Only Murders in the Building and making in-store appearances for her beauty line Rare Beauty, Gomez has been working nonstop. For all the events, she’s been embracing throwback silhouettes that are sweet and summery.

The star has been working with her longtime stylist Kate Young, and together they’ve cultivated a fresh new look for the season that’s all about a mod, 1960s-inspired sensibility. They’ve particularly zeroed in on the decade’s fixation with mini skirts. Last week, Gomez emerged in Paris for a Rare Beauty event wearing a gingham Alaïa two-piece including a crop top, pleated mini skirt, and white pointed pumps (we also love the heart-shaped handbag—pun intended). She then followed it up in Milan with a total Prada look consisting of an emerald button-down shirt, striped and pleated mini skirt (we’re sensing a theme here!), and black kitten heels. She even gets bonus points for wearing a Paris-born label in Paris, and an Italian label in Italy—a thoughtful touch.

Today in London, meanwhile, Gomez continued on with her 1960s mood with yet another mod statement look. She attended a Rare Beauty launch party sporting a yellow, square-neckline Glemaud mini dress complete with strappy PVC heels and golden hoops. The shortened silhouette felt deliciously groovy (as did her subtle beehive updo). All of these ensembles have been a fun new direction for the star, and prove that summer is the best time to experiment and try out a new style. It’s clearly working for her. And something tells us there’s plenty more of these throwback fits to come. Cue the Nancy Sinatra!
