Alison Syrett

As TZR’s deputy fashion editor, Alison Syrett is the lead for all style- and industry related features for the site. She is especially interested in the way how we get dressed relates to our current culture at large.

You may recognize Alison’s byline from InStyle, where she covered all things fashion — and wrote countless model profiles — for the magazine’s (now-defunct) print arm for six years. Before that, she was a busy freelance-writer-about-town with a client roster that included Teen Vogue, Condé Nast Traveller, Allure, Glamour, and more.

When she’s not hunting down the next micro-trend about to blow up, Alison can likely be found sweating out her stress in an SLT pilates class or debating whether she really needs that third cup of coffee today (the answer is always yes). She lives in Brooklyn's Park Slope neighborhood with her husband and two daughters.
