“Fall is all about turning your home into a cozy sanctuary,” says Erika Carlock. Each September, the interior designer gravitates towards subtle details — think: “a dried floral arrangement, woodsy candles, and lots of textiles in an earthy color palette” — to bring that cozy, yet bright fall feeling to her home in Los Angeles.

The notion that one’s space should feel like an escape isn’t new, but it feels extra relevant as fall approaches; as the weather cools, the indoors become our retreat. As such, we need to bring the outside world in. “My autumnal decor style is inspired by the changing seasons,” Carlock says, noting that she gravitates toward warm, rich tones,” including deep mustard, burnt rust, and woodsy shades of brown — all of which are found in Walmart’s latest offering. These colors, alongside natural materials like wood, ceramic, and stone, give any room a more textural feel. And with high-quality, aesthetically captivating furniture, decor, and more at Walmart’s everyday low prices, it’s never been easier to bring this vibe home.

From rustic vases in organic shapes to patterned decorative pillows, Carlock is ready to embrace an earthy, organic color palette in her bedroom. “I’m excited to blend warm colors like terracotta, oatmeal, and sage with textures like chunky cotton, velvet, and woven jute,” she adds. “I love how these pieces mix for a lived-in, layered look. They’re perfect for adding a pop of color while still feeling natural and homey.”
