01

The Circle

Netflix

This competition show is built around the world of social media. Contestants live in separate rooms and can only communicate with one another online through "The Circle," a pseudo-social media platform. Contestants rate each other as "influencers'' every few days, and low-ranking participants are removed until the last remaining contestant wins $100,000. There's some lighthearted drama between contestants, so it's definitely an entertaining one to watch.

02

Dating Around

In this show, one single person goes on five first dates and chooses one person at the end for a second date. The episodes are full of awkward, funny, and heartwarming moments, including a bit of drama.

03

Demarcus Family Rules

This 2020 reality show is a look at the life of country music star Jay DeMarcus (from Rascal Flatts), ex-beauty queen Allison DeMarcus, and their energetic family in Nashville. They crown themselves the "ultimate odd couple" and their antics lead to hilarity and sometimes high-tension moments.

04

Baewatch: Parental Guidance

Loved-up couples who think they've found their perfect match get shipped off to a tropical resort and enjoy a vacation alone... or, at least, that's what they think. In the other room, their parents — who think their child's significant other isn't the one for them — are watching and judging every moment of their intimate vacation. Eventually, the parents reveal the fact they've watched everything go down and voice how they feel about it all. This one’s got opinionated parents, cringe-worthy moments, and romantic drama all tied into one.

05

The Single Wives

In this reality show, seven formerly married women are put in romantic situations and coached by experts to find new love.

06

Too Hot To Handle

Netflix

When Too Hot To Handle Season 1 premiered in spring 2020, it became *the* reality show and has continued to entertain, and shock, viewers for two additional seasons. It features a group of very attractive singles on an island vacation. If participants make any sort of physical contact with one another, however, money is withdrawn from the final cash prize.

07

Selling Sunset

One of the most iconic “docu-dramas” to hit Netflix, Selling Sunset follows a group of real estate agents and brokers who sell multi-million-dollar houses to Los Angeles’ elite — and look fab AF while doing so.

08

Alone

Alone is similar to Survivor in that it documents individuals trying their best to live in the wilderness without many resources. Participants are completely isolated from all other humans and can "tap out" at any time. The person who remains the longest wins a cash prize of $500,000.

09

Terrace House

Netflix

Terrace House is a show about six strangers living their normal lives, except they're all together in a communal residence, with cameras and show hosts watching their every move. There's no script, so this reality show is about as real as they come, and there are several versions with participants in different areas — like Tokyo and Hawaii — so there's plenty of content to keep you busy.

10

Back With The Ex

In this series, four singles reconnect with their exes and try to reinvigorate their romantic past together. With intense baggage following these pairs, the reconnection process can be harder than it seems.

11

Yummy Mummies

Four well-off and young mothers-to-be are followed by cameras that document their pregnancies and new chaotic life with babies. The series shows the moms supporting each other through the ups and downs of motherhood, deepening their relationships with one another, and introducing their children to the lavish things in life.

12

Love Is Blind

Netflix

Love Is Blind is almost a blend of The Circle and Married at First Sight. Thirty singles get the chance to date others while in isolation pods, and after 10 days of dating, the participants must either get engaged to someone they've neve seen... or go home. The show gets interesting because it follows the couples up until their wedding days, when they either say "I do" or "I don't" to the marriage in front of their families.

13

Singapore Social

Singapore Social follows the lives of a group of 20-something friends in Singapore as they navigate their careers, romantic lives, and families in the competitive Singapore social scene. Think Rich Kids of Beverly Hills, but overseas.

14

Real Love

Eighteen men and women gather on a beach looking for love in this game show, but they only know each other by false names because each of them is "burdened because of a dark past," per the show's introduction. These singles all embark on the path to find love, which will ultimately determine whether the couples can overcome their issues together.

15

Million Dollar Beach House

Netflix

Million Dollar Beach House is a lot like Selling Sunset in that it documents a group of high-profile agents who sell homes — this time in the exclusive Hamptons area. There are fabulous properties, drama between the agents, and a whole lot of glamor in this series.

16

Styling Hollywood

Netflix

Styling Hollywood follows power couple Jason Bolden and Adair Curtis, who manage a company focused on celebrity styling and interior design. There are some celeb appearances in this show, as well as super-fancy outfits and deadline-induced drama.

17

Are You The One?

In this high tech twist on a dating show, couples are secretly paired up via an algorithm, and then all the contestants have to figure out who their perfect match is. Winners get a cash prize… and possibly the love of their lives.

18

Bling Empire

If you missed the Bling Empire craze in early 2021… what are you even doing? Head to Netflix ASAP to immerse yourself in the lives of the ridiculously wealthy Asian Americans living in Los Angeles. Come for the lavish spending, stay for the love-to-hate (or hate-to-love?) interpersonal drama.

19

America’s Next Top Model

A reality competition series classic, ANTM is a high-energy modeling competition run by Tyra Banks. The fashion is fierce, the smizes are stunning, and the challenges are both humiliating and incredibly entertaining.

20

Marriage or Mortgage

Marriage or Mortgage asks couples an important — and nearly impossible — question: Should they spend their money on a wedding, or on a house? If you’re not yelling at your TV for these people to forget the hors d'oeuvres and invest in their forever homes, you’re not watching it right.

21

Lenox Hill

Netflix

If you want to watch something that will get your senses firing, check out Lenox Hill, which documents four doctors at New York's prestigious Lenox Hill. Between the personal life drama and high-stakes situations, this show has a lot that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

22

Blown Away

Look, I know a show about glass blowing sounds like a complete snoozefest, but hear me out. This reality competition series is fascinating for the same reasons you love The Great British Bake Off: These contestants are masters at their craft and create absolutely stunning works of art through a process that is *so* satisfying to watch.

23

Instant Hotel

If you want a reality show that will give you major wanderlust and expose you to some amazing properties, you’ll probs enjoy Instant Hotel. In this show, Australian homeowners turn their properties into "instant hotels" in a search to find the best vacation spot. Four teams of strangers travel the country together and open their homes and lives to each other along the way. The participants are pretty vocal about how they feel about each other's homes, so things get a little catty, which will give you the reality TV messiness you're craving.

24

The Ultimatum

In The Ultimatum, each couple has one person who wants to get married, and the other who does not. Six couples enter the experiment, break up for the duration of filming, and try out a relationship with another person from the cast. Season 1 blew up in 2022 and Season 2 has already been confirmed with all LGBTQ+ couples, made up of mostly women.

25

Life After Death with Tyler Henry

Life After Death with Tyler Henry gives the celebrity medium his biggest platform to date. Think Long Island Medium but with less voluminous hair and a more personal storyline. Henry helps a cast of characters find closure and peace with their loved ones who have passed and attempts to unearth his own family's scary past in this dramatic and emotional show.

26

Old Enough

This 2000’s Japanese docu-comedy spares you the typical dinner party drama of reality TV and amps up the cuteness by a thousand. Old Enough follows young kids between the ages of 2 and 5 as they go out on their first errand. It’s adorable, and honestly empowering, to watch the gears turn in these little ones’ heads as they try to remember what to do and how to stay safe while traveling on major roads and talking with strangers.

27

Young, Famous, & African

Young, Famous, & African follows wealthy young stars from five different African countries as they pursue romance and riches in Johannesburg, South Africa. The opulence and high-stakes drama will make this show your next reality TV obsession.

28

Selling Tampa

Selling Tampa stars a cast of fabulous real estate agents at the all-female, Black-owned brokerage, Allure Realty, as they show luxury houses and throw shade. Likeits sister show, Selling Sunset, the homes are shocking, but the drama is even more intense.
