Love Island could be in trouble after viewer complaints... but they weren't all about the sex in the villa.

Ofcom has received 46 complaints about the series so far โ€“ and more than half the complaints (24) have been about the smoking, whereas there have only been 15 complaints about the promotion of "sexual material and promiscuity" (via BBC News).

Erm, don't they know what show they are watching?

It all reminds us of that classic Never Mind the Buzzcocks episode.

The rest of the complaints were for bad language (gasp), violence involving a cushion being thrown "aggressively" and about a racial slur.

Ofcom will assess the 46 complaints before deciding whether or not it will investigate them further.

And while they may or may not have complained to Ofcom, Love Island fans have certainly been noticing the abundance of cigarettes in the villa.

Last night's (July 6) episode of Love Island saw the introduction of another new Islander teased, with the gang set to be joined by Georgia Harrison, who has previously been a part of "one series" of TOWIE.

The other recent arrivals have been well and truly shaking up the villa, with Theo going head-to-head with Jonny.

Theo had revealed he had his eyes on Tyla (and Montana), and Jonny was not at all happy that Theo had confessed his love for his partner behind his back. What goes around comes around, Jonny.

Love Island continues tonight (July 7) at 9pm on ITV2.
