Tom Brady was spotted without his wedding band as he left his hotel ahead of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ game on Sunday night in Pennsylvania.
The 45-year-old quarterback wore a white T-shirt under a light blue button-down paired with dark blue pants and white sneakers. He carried a camouflage duffle bag in his ring-free left hand.
His choice to leave that important piece of jewelry at home comes as divorce rumors continue to swirl around him and wife Gisele Bündchen.
Brady’s unwillingness to step away from football seems to be the main cause of his speculated split from Bündchen.
Fans poked fun at the NFL star’s decision to stick with the sport — and its correlation to the state of his marriage — after the Bucs’ defeat this week against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In now-viral video footage, an irate Brady is seen sharing a heated word with the team’s offensive line, presumably shouting in his teammates’ faces.
“Tom Brady really got a divorce just to lose to the Steelers,” one person joked, while another opined, “Tom Brady don’t gaf about nothing but football, not his wife, not his kids, not his teammates.”
He was also spotted solo on Friday night in New York City attending Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s surprise wedding to Dana Blumberg.
Page Six exclusively reported this month that both Brady and Bündchen, 42, who have been living separately, have hired divorce attorneys.
Sources first shared in September that the couple had an “epic” fight over Brady coming out of retirement.
“There’s been trouble in the marriage over his decision to un-retire. Gisele has always been the one with the kids,” one insider told us in September, adding, “They had agreed he would retire to focus on the family, then he changed his mind.”
An insider recently told People that the athlete and the supermodel’s relationship is beyond repair.
“[Gisele] is done with their marriage,” a source previously claimed to the outlet. “She was upset about it for a long time, and it’s still difficult, but she feels like she needs to move on. She doesn’t believe that her marriage can be repaired.”
Brady and Bündchen share son Benjamin, 12, and daughter Vivian, 9. The former Patriots player also has a 15-year-old son, Jack, with ex Bridget Moynahan.
Bündchen recently admitted that she and her kids want to see more of Brady.
“My children and I would like [Tom] to be more present,” Bündchen told Elle in September, adding that they have “definitely had those conversations with him over and over again.”
Brady, who has claimed that family and football are his main priorities, tied the knot with Bündchen in 2009.
The two have yet to publicly address reports about the state of their marriage.
